ABOUT THE FILM PROJECT

Hi, My name's Diogo Andrade and I'm a film director and producer since '96​ from E.S.A.P Cinema and Video production. I've made a graduaction in Make-up Special Effects in Complections International Make-Up School, Toronto, CAN and I've been working in Tv Commercials, Videoclips, Tv Shows, Cinema and doing my own shorts films and projects for the last 16 years. I have my passion for film and cinema since I was 11 years old, when my grandfather gave me a Super8mm Camera and an year after got my first video Camcorder. I'm a film enthusiast and I believe in cinema magic and the power of imagery and make believe. An year ago, I started to paint some drawings of my own imagination. Weird creatures and nightmares came to life.
- I started a search about myths and the power of myths to all cultures of the world.
- Same time I was reading anthropologists and other works of Maffesoli, Lipovetsky, Alberoni, and phylosophers, Jung, Wittegenstein, that spoke about our messed out culture and the necessity of myth to enlight our lives.
- Came across some poetry of Jim Morrison (The Doors) and others that made sense to the feeling of Europe corrupted and actual Recession times and a Time of Injustice and rebellion against the system.
-Music!-Mythical, Political, Introspective songs came to me as a SIGN of times and reflection of our Sour souls.
-Read to a lot of books- Henry James "The beast in the jungle" was what glued the all prject together and started the Scriptwriting

In a spectacular artistic way and though a visually captivating angle, we translate all the worries of actual ordinary citizen about the state of the entire world, boarding the ecological precautions that in actuality we need to be sensibility to respect; the economy crisis and political decadence affecting now our present but the films action time (in 100 years from now) . Focus in an underground world of criminals and starvation. Criticizing the power of a false glamour from the highest social classes and in fashion industry/culture, the power of Media, major social problems like extreme poverty, blood diseases and new virus from factory enterprises- air pollution . The necessity for the need to Escape from reality. This film his centred in John’s life and his personal quest for truth, love, freedom, solitude and demons of his past in an changing Europe.
